The lake township

West Bloomfield Township is known as the lake township of Oakland County, and it's home to Cass Lake, the largest lake in the county, along with Pine Lake and Orchard Lake. It had 65,888 people at the 2020 census and about 27,346 housing units, with a median owner-occupied home value around $450,800.

A lot of the housing here dates from the 1960s through the 1990s: ranches, colonials, and contemporaries on lots that often run from a third of an acre to more than an acre.
